For this competition, Buildner sought designs for a painters' residence to be located on the beautiful shore of Cernostes Lake, in one of Europe’s greenest countries, Latvia.
OM Studio founder Orcun Efe Cinar, KODS founder and Board Member of Oncuoglu Architecture Kaan Oncuoglu, together with Ekin Guzer and Sevin Erkenek, were awarded Third Prize in the internationally recognized Painter’s Lake House Competition, organized by Buildner, one of the world’s leading architecture competition platforms, with their project Muza House.
Designed as an artist’s residence on the shores of Černostes Lake in Latvia, Muza House stood out for its timber construction inspired by local architectural traditions, its courtyard-centered spatial organization, and its sustainable design approach. The project was recognized by the international jury for its flexible workshop spaces, thoughtful use of natural materials, and strong connection to the surrounding landscape.
